Tech Tree and Earning Tech Tree Points
The Tech Tree is your path to making every car and weapon truly yours.
Instead of sticking to fixed upgrades, you’ll now unlock nodes across a branching system of abilities. These nodes let you:
- Boost performance with meaningful stat upgrades.
- Tailor each vehicle or weapon to match your playstyle.
- Experiment with different builds to find the perfect setup for any mode or strategy.
From devastating melee cars to precision snipers, the Tech Tree gives you the tools to dominate the arena your way.
To progress through the Tech Tree, you need Tech Tree Points, and there are two types:
- Local Tech Tree Points (LTTPs):
- Specific to the car or weapon you use in battle.
- Earned based on your score with that item and the Combat Points you spend.
- Global Tech Tree Points (GTTPs):
- Can be used on any car or weapon.
- Harder to obtain, but far more versatile.
- Earned based on your total battle score and Combat Points used.
Pro tip: The higher your League Division, the more LTTPs and GTTPs you’ll earn. And if you have an active VIP Subscription, you’ll get even bigger bonuses, with higher VIP levels granting even greater rewards.
How to Access and Use the Tech Tree
Jumping into the Tech Tree is easy:
- Head to your Garage or the Upgrades & Vehicles screen.
- Tap the Tech Tree button.
- Choose the car or weapon you want to upgrade.
Each Tech Tree is unique, offering a set of branches leading to new stats, abilities, and powerful upgrades. But, progressing through the Tech Tree isn’t just about spending points. Here’s how it works:
- Unlock previous nodes to reach deeper branches.
- Spend LTTPs or GTTPs to start the Research Process.
- Wait for research to complete — or spend Gold to finish it instantly.
Keep in mind: Nodes closer to major upgrades or rarer abilities will take more points and time to unlock.
The higher the tier of your car or weapon, the more branches you’ll have to explore. This means more opportunities for fine-tuning and building the ultimate machine.
Converting Points When You Need Them Most
Running short on points? No problem.
- You can convert LTTPs into GTTPs using Gold.
- Or even buy extra GTTPs with Gold if you don’t have enough to unlock a node (at a higher cost).
